The marina has a hurricane-resistant basin with easy access to the bay. It is minutes from the Eastport section of Annapolis, near downtown. The marina has the atmosphere and advantages of a residential yacht and country club. Facilities include two pools, four tennis courts, an 1800-foot beach, two fishing piers, a lounge and a restaurant. The competent, friendly management and staff welcomes transients and cruising clubs. Sam’s Waterfront Café is housed in a reproduction of an antique Chesapeake Bay lighthouse on site. From Chesapeake Bay, head northwest up the Severn River. Our channel entrance is opposite Greenbury Point. Head west and look for Chesapeake Harbour R2 and leave it to starboard. Follow the channel keeping green to port between the jetties and into the harbor. The channel has a reported MLW depth of nine feet and the harbour has a control depth of nine feet. The modern, well-constructed docks are stationary with fingerpiers and tie-off pilings. There is docking alongside the T-heads at the end of the docks. Call on VHF channel 16 as you approach and the dockmaster will assign you a slip and assist in docking. Reservations are recommended in season. A dockmaster is on duty from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week.
